Land Life Company is committed to its high-tech approach to smart reforestation, and applies it every step of the way: from beginning the process with detailed climate analysis to using specialized machines to mechanically speed up the planting of biodiverse species to then monitoring growth with our proprietary terrestrial monitoring app and drones. All of which can be tracked on our site specific Customer Dashboard.

Design
It all starts before trees even go in the ground. The design of our planting sites is vital, as we want to maximize the restoration of severely degraded lands. The forests we create need to be resilient to current and future stresses such as extreme weather and rising temperatures.
With a new plot, our tech team assesses the land and the ecological situation extensively. This is combined with drone based terrain analyses and information gathered from local landowners to create a detailed planting blueprint. This blueprint allows our trees to be planted efficiently and in such a way that it optimizes our climate impact.

When planting trees, we aim for quality, scale, speed and high survival rates. Land Life Company has developed technologies that allow us to reforest hundreds of hectares in a single planting session, including a GPS enabled automated-planting system to drive speed and efficiency in the field. Land Life Company is currently developing new technologies that will be launched over the coming year.
The Cocoon
The Cocoon is designed to support a seedling through its critical first year. By providing water and shelter while stimulating the seedling to produce a healthy and deep root structure, tapping into the sub-surface water supply. The result? Independant, healthy trees not reliant on external irrigation that can survive in harsh conditions.

Monitoring
Once the trees have gone in the ground, Land Life Company’s work continues. On-the-ground and remote sensing technologies are used to track the impact of reforestation over time.The location, species, vigor and other vital statistics of our trees are also monitored closely —this is done through the Land Life Company monitoring app.
Once the trees are over a meter in height, drones are used, along with machine learning algorithms, to geolocate our trees and monitor their growth and survival. When the trees are over five years old, satellites take over the monitoring. All of the data is stored in our database, which is used for further analyses and creating a continuous feedback loop.
All of the project details and monitoring data are made accessible to our customers through an online Customer Dashboard.
